Verb TO BE (Estar)
Present Tense
yo estoy nosotros estamos
tú estás ustedes están
él/ella está ellos están
Yo estoy en la escuela. (I am at school.)
Past Tense

This tense also gives the idea that the state of being or the action has not fully finished as you talk about it. Furthermore, this tense may also be used to show that something happened in the past at the same time that something else was happening.

- to indicate that an action continues: Juan está hablando con Jessica. (Juan is talking to Jessica.)
